Headquartered in Mankato, MN, Duany Union is a non-profit organization founded in 2007 to cater to underserved Sudanese Refugees/Immigrants across the United State and Canada. As part of its mission, Duany Union also provides humanitarian assistance to the people of Nasir, Ulang & Thorow counties in Upper Nile State, Southern Sudan.

"It was late 1995 when a dream came upon one son of Nasir to form an organization, messages were carried out from Nashville Tennessee to midwestern states and canada during snowy season, men and women, young and old were driving in such an hazardous weather for the sake of peace and unity. Can one Imagine driving in the snowy weather to distant places for the sake of peace unity among the children of Duany. whose job would it be to protect?" Dear Lang community

Wal R. Nyuon Lang Community , On behalf of Lang community in North America, I am encouraging all of you to give up conflicts of self interests that make ourselves more dissension than we were before. When I first heard that Cheilang have been divided over ULANG COMMUNITY, I had been strongly rejected the notion that why we could not called ourselves Ulang Community. When we were together with Nyalith family, we have been called ourselves Nasirian people, is it execrable calling ourselves Ulang Community? Ulang community is a best name for all Chielang in general but, the fact of the matter is, the dispute over Ulang had been due to conflicts of self interests that drive us apart from the reality. Chielang and Ulang are the same even though the definitions are quiet a bite different, we must all come together as Cheilang despite the dispute over Ulang.
